Consulting
Custom software, mostly for small teams
I build custom web applications, internal tools, and data pipelines for small companies and engineering teams inside larger organisations. Freelance developer in Copenhagen, also running my own startup, so I take work all the way to production: infrastructure, deploys, SMTP, monitoring, talking to actual users.
What I usually work on
Most of my work falls into one of three shapes. The service pages have more depth on each.
Custom internal tools, for when a spreadsheet stops scaling, or when five disconnected SaaS tools are eating your team's mornings. Booking systems, admin dashboards, order management, customer portals. Most recent example is a four-tool rebuild at a Copenhagen consultancy (writeup).
Booking and customer portals, for businesses that want their clients to book, see status, or interact without an email back-and-forth.
Data and reporting, turning data sprawl into dashboards a leadership team can open every morning and trust. Heaviest is when there's audit or compliance pressure on the numbers.
I also do technical advisory: architecture reviews, scoping a project before it becomes expensive, second opinions on a build a team is already inside. Hourly, no fixed package.
What makes my version of this different
I run Guide Connect on the side, which means I've taken a product from idea to production myself, not just shipped features for someone else. Most clients don't arrive with a spec; they arrive with a problem and a budget. A lot of my time goes into helping them articulate what to build before any code gets written.
I'm also comfortable with the parts that aren't writing application code: VPS setup, SMTP and email deliverability, real monitoring, the deploy pipeline. The stuff that breaks at 3am if nobody is responsible for it.
How I charge
900 DKK / hour (excl. VAT). One rate for development, advisory, and the in-between work. Day rate works out to about 6,300 DKK.
Negotiable depending on the task, the complexity, and the time commitment. Longer engagements and earlier-stage clients usually get a different shape than one-off work.
Fixed-scope projects
Smaller single-workflow builds typically run 40,000–80,000 DKK. Multi-workflow MVPs typically 80,000–200,000 DKK. Paid in two or three phases. Scope gets set after a paid discovery conversation, never on a guess.
I'll quote a project hourly or fixed depending on what honestly fits the work. If scope is unclear, hourly is usually fairer to both sides.
Probably not a fit if
- You need a full-time long-term hire. I'm freelance, and I'd rather keep it that way so I can stay close to Guide Connect.
- You want a 15-person team that can ship a product in six weeks. I work alone most of the time and bring in collaborators only when it's the right thing.
- You want a Wix-style template that costs a fraction of what custom costs. Custom software is more expensive than a template. If a template fits, use it.
How to start
Email me a few sentences about what's broken or what you want to build. A rough budget helps. I'll come back within a couple of working days with either an honest "yes, here's how I'd approach it" or "no, here's who I'd recommend instead."
